About
Hi, I'm Barb. Let's make your home work for you.
I started Edit & Organize because I believe a well-organized home is one of the most practical investments you can make in your everyday life.
When your spaces work, your day runs a little smoother. When they don't, everything feels harder than it should. I'm here to fix that with practical, thoughtful, and judgement-free solutions.
Before starting this business, I spent my career in social impact, most recently as Chief of Staff at a philanthropy. Across roles in operations, internal communications, fundraising, and events, I’ve consistently worked to bring clarity to complex, fast-moving environments and build systems that help things run more smoothly. I studied art history at Georgetown, which shaped how I notice detail and structure.
My fiancé and I recently moved to Charlotte from Washington, DC, and are enjoying settling into a new rhythm here. Outside of work, I enjoy travel, needlepoint, keeping my Peloton streak alive, and exploring our new hometown’s restaurant scene.

Why I do this work
Organizing is more than tidying up.
I love home organizing because I get to help people make intentional decisions about how they live and create calmer homes that work better day to day.
I see it in small but meaningful shifts: when mornings run more smoothly, when a better kitchen set up makes getting dinner on the table easier, or when everything has a clear place and you can put things away without second guessing.
My goal is for clients to feel lighter when I leave, not because everything is perfect, but because everything finally feels more manageable.
What makes me different
Process-driven. Not prescriptive.
I bring structure to each project, but I don’t arrive with a predetermined vision for your space. Every home is different because every life is different, and the goal is always to create systems that actually fit how you live.
I’m detail-oriented and look for simple, elegant solutions that make everyday life easier.
I’m also steady in moments of change. Whether you’re downsizing, combining households, or just feeling stuck, I help break decisions into smaller steps so they feel easier to move through.
